That said, it's still fun enough, it just left me wanting more. basically Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, except with a fraction of that game's difficulty, a time travel mechanic that, while a very neat concept, felt underutilized, and surprisingly, a predominately LGBT cast. Looking forward to future updates, as well. All in all, though, I enjoyed it, and felt the game did more right than wrong. I did complete all the quests, though I didn't get all the trophies, and about halfway through the game, I had to use the in-game option to lower the damage dealt by a couple notches, because I am *very* bad at twitch dodging.

It has a lot of fun stuff, but it also has a lot that annoys me. Notes: I had a bit of a love/hate relationship with this game. but nothing that detracted from the overall experience.ĬrossCode (PC Completed 3-4-19) and enemies *knew* about this, often charging right at you when close to death. Yeah, there were a few flaws, such as how you could get damaged if you were caught in the explosion of a defeated enemy. So elaborate for such an under the radar game. And the soundtrack was quite your dream team. That said, it's a fun game, and I'd dare say an underrated gem. This is a typical 90s Square RPG disguised as a platformer/shooter. I'd have finished this about a week sooner were it not for various illnesses I had to deal with, but so it goes.įront Mission: Gun Hazard (SNES Completed 1-30-19)

Definitely a game I felt aged well, and a good start to the year. Didn't see too many heavily character and story-driven RPGs on the NES. And it surprised me how ahead of its time the game originally was. Notes: While I've played this game many times on NES, I only played the DS remake once before, and oddly, I can barely remember doing so.
